At a meeting with our Baptism Catechists and our two Deacons it was agreed to revise the content of our Baptism preparation meeting.

Also, it was decided that there should be FOUR meetings in the year; viz: March, May, July & October. In future, parents and godparents will be invited to attend a preparation meeting before EVERY Baptism, not just the first one celebrated in a family.

Our Deacons reported a lack of dignity and occasional disreputable conduct in Church during the celebration of the Sacrament.

I will be meeting with them to discuss issues around dress code, numbers of those attending, and the legitimate expectations we, as a Catholic Parish community, have of those requesting Baptism.
