Make Your Giving Go Further with Gift Aid
Did you know that for every £1 you give to the parish through offertory or donation, the parish can claim an extra 25p from the government—at no extra cost to you?
It may not sound like much, but together it makes a real difference. For example, when parishioners give £1,000 through the Gift Aid scheme, the parish receives an additional £250 through tax relief.
If you pay Income Tax—on wages, pensions, savings, or dividends—you’re eligible to join the Gift Aid scheme.

There’s no need to share personal details like your income or National Insurance number. All that’s required is a simple declaration to let us know you’d like your donations to be treated as Gift Aid.
You can make this declaration in person or over the phone. From there, your donations—whether through weekly offertory envelopes or standing orders—will automatically benefit from the scheme. One declaration covers all future donations, though you can cancel at any time.
- Covers both regular offertory and one-off donations
- Works with standing orders or specially marked Gift Aid envelopes
- No minimum amount—give as you are able
- Flexible to your circumstances—you can pause, stop, increase, or decrease giving as needed
Thank you for helping us make every gift go further.
“He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” - Proverbs 19:17
