Fr Lamb completed the Rosary and Knock devotions for those in the parish who are sick. He has contacted, and will continue to contact as far as possible those whom he knows who may be vulnerable to illness or old age, please keep in contact with him in case of need.

Patrick Hunt and Tim Yates are working together to try and arrange live-streaming of Masses from St. Ambrose's. Please visit the site for further details.

Fr. Lamb is very grateful for the messages, gifts and kindness of so many people, let us continue to pray for each other.

An unofficial CORONAVIRUS COMMUNITY FACEBOOK GROUP has been set up for elderly / vulnerable people. Please feel free to contact AMY SINCLAIR 07528637464.

All emergency sick calls will be answered in the usual way, and will be attended as soon as possible. Any elderly, housebound or sick parishioners requiring a pastoral visit should notify the Parish Priest (01562 822839).

For the moment it is not possible for me to fulfill other visits and meetings.

Holy Communion to CARE HOMES or private houses will be discontinued for the time being.

EASTER CONFESSIONS: The Sacrament of Confession cannot be celebrated over the telephone or by conference call. We have been advised that private confessions should be deferred at the present time. The Apostolic Penitentiary stated on March 20th 2020 that 'were the individual faithful find themselves in the painful impossibility of recieving Sacramental Absolution it should be remembered that perfect contrition coming from the love of God, beloved above all things, expressed by a sincere request for forgiveness, and accompanied by the firm resolution to go to the Sacrament as soon as possible, obtains forgivness of sins even Mortal ones.'

EASTER DUTIES: Since it is not possible to receive Holy Communion at this time, and possibly well into the future, the Bishops of England and Wales have dispensed the Easter duties for the year 2020. The Bishops have asked that all should make an Act of Perfect Contrition at this time. This is true and real sorrow for our sins as we realise the immense love of God for each one of us. We realise how we offend God by our sinful words, deeds and omissions, and we approach His love and mercy, with humility and resolution not to sin again.

PARISH HALL: Please note that in the current circumstances the Parish Centre is CLOSED and is NOT taking bookings at the present time. This will be revised & updated in line with official instructions as they develop.

Livesteam: Unfortunately, because our internet connection is not strong enough we are unable, at the moment, to livesteam services from St. Ambrose's. Fr Lamb is anxious to hear from anyone who can make alternative suggestions.
Thanks to Tim Yates and Patrick Hunt for their efforts.

200 Club: It has been decided that the monthly draws of the 200 Club will be postponed, but will take place at the earilest possible time, once the current health crisis is over.
